Meet the Spookiest Monsters of the Ocean This Halloween
Forget haunted houses for a moment. For an ocean-inspired Halloween, look beneath the waves. Vampire squid, ghost sharks, and bone-eating zombie worms sound like characters from a horror movie, but they are the stars of a deep-sea YouTube Short from Beneath The Wave.
At Prescription Mask USA, we love an excuse to celebrate the underwater world. This time, we’re trading sunny snorkeling scenes for a glimpse of the ocean’s spooky side.

Three names straight out of a Halloween story
Vampire squid
A vampire in the ocean? The vampire squid earns a place on this spooky lineup with a name that needs no Halloween makeover. It’s one of the deep-sea creatures highlighted in the video’s description, and a memorable starting point for an ocean-themed watch night.
Ghost sharks
Ghost sharks bring the haunted-ocean mood. Their name alone invites a second look and makes them a fitting addition to this Halloween-inspired introduction to life beneath the waves.
Zombie worms
The video’s description introduces zombie worms as worms that eat bones. If you were looking for the most Halloween-ready detail in this lineup, that might be it. The ocean has no shortage of surprises.
A spooky glimpse, not a snorkeling checklist
This Short is presented as a journey into the deep sea. Enjoy it as a window into a different underwater world, rather than a list of animals to look for on your next casual snorkeling outing.
For ocean lovers, that contrast is part of the appeal. The underwater world can inspire wonder, curiosity, and a little Halloween shiver, all in the same evening.
Bring a little ocean mystery to Halloween
Share the video with a fellow ocean enthusiast and compare your picks: vampire squid, ghost sharks, or zombie worms. Which name wins the spooky-ocean crown?
Whatever your answer, this is a fun reminder to keep exploring and learning about the world beneath the surface. Happy Halloween from Prescription Mask USA!
